The two-day AAOMS OMS Coding Essentials: Medical and Dental Procedures and Diagnoses course concentrates on different topics each day and addresses coding guidance for the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Both days are necessary to achieve the maximum benefits this course has to offer. AAOMS encourages OMSs to attend with their coding and billing staff.

Note: Participants should have a basic understanding of CDT, CPT and ICD-10-CM. AAOMS recommends basic coding knowledge or completion of the Introduction to Insurance Coding and Billing (formerly, Basic Coding for OMS) and ICD-10-CM for OMS online courses is recommended before participating in this intermediate-level coding course. Visit AAOMS.org/CodingBilling for more information.
